Britain's greatest fictional detective gets a radical reinvention from director Guy Ritchie. Played by Robert Downey Jr, he is still a genius at deduction and a master of disguise, but now he is also a martial arts master as well, and the new Dr Watson is equally at home as spectacular action races through the streets of Victorian London and on top of the unfinished Tower Bridge. As long as you're not a Holmes purist, this is a fun and funny high-energy romp.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
