Synopsis

Adapted by author David Nicholls from his mega-selling novel, this will they-won't they romantic drama focuses on friends with possible benefits, Dex and Em. Checking in with the (sort of) couple on the same day over twenty years, this charts the highs and lows of their relationship with wit and a few pop-culture references. Perceptive and affecting, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments in this film.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
