Synopsis

Determined to remain the fairest woman of them all, an evil Queen (Julia Roberts) locks up her beautiful stepdaughter Snow White (Lily Collins). The rivalry accelerates when Snow escapes to the woods and falls in love with a handsome prince, a man the Queen is determined to ensnare for his money. Railing against our expectations, Snow takes on the role of a go-getting heroine - challenging for the Prince's affections and battling to regain the throne that is rightfully hers. Lashings of high-camp comedy and quirky plot detours from the original successfully give a much-loved fairytale a fresh and entertaining twist.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
