Synopsis

In sympathy for another marginalised group and seeing a common enemy in Margaret Thatcher, in 1984 a group of gay rights activists offered their support to striking miners. Initially rejected by the unions the Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) focused their fundraising and support on a small Welsh mining town and eventually decided to visit the people they’d been supporting. This unlikely true story forms the basis of this warm-hearted, funny film. With terrific performances from its ensemble cast, Pride will leave you feeling galvanised and uplifted.
