Synopsis

Mr Krab’s secret formula for his yummy Krabby Patties has been stolen, turning all of Bikini Bottom into a hungry mob. Forcing the evil Plankton to help him, Spongebob explains that teamwork is needed to find the recipe and stop the destruction of Bikini Bottom. Meanwhile a dodgy pirate named Burger-Beard is telling the story of Spongebob’s adventure to a gang of seagulls. Little do they know he has re-written the ending so that he finds the recipe. Mixing live action and animation, this madcap adventure sees Spongebob and his team race across the ocean floor, time-travel and even enter the real world to track the recipe down.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
