Synopsis

Several years after the downfall of civilization in 2060, in a stark desert landscape, two rebels might just be able to restore order. Max, a former highway patrolman and a man of few words, and Furiousa, a woman trying to make her way across the desert and back to her homeland, together with a band of female captives known as the Five Wives. They must reluctantly work together to escape a tyrannical warlord and ensure the continued survival of humanity. Pulsating, high-octane and violent, this is crazed action cinema at its most visceral, providing a unique visual experience and spectacular set-pieces.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
