Synopsis

War in Panam is escalating as the unscrupulous President Snow instructs complete destruction of the surrounding districts to quell the rebellion. Taking cover in District 13, the rebellion’s figurehead Katniss Everdeen is struggling to come to terms with her public image, the wants of 13’s own President Alma Coin, and her co-warrior Peeta’s violent behavior towards her. Not to mention the pull of protecting her sister Primrose and her boyfriend Gayle’s enduring commitment. Determined to end the conflict once and for all, she is placed with an elite squad tasked with penetrating the Capitol, however Katniss has her own mission – to assassinate President Snow. For those familiar with the Hunger Games series this is a gripping conclusion that doesn’t hold back on the thrills or spills.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
