Scrat’s long-lasting pursuit of the elusive acorn propels him into outer space where he inadvertently sets off a chain reaction, resulting in several asteroids heading for a collision course with planet Earth. Quickly realising that asteroids have previously caused extinctions across species in the past, Buck and the rest of The Herd set out to find a way to stop it.
