Ray Kroc, a travelling salesman, makes his living selling milkshake makers to American diners in 1954. After a small restaurant orders a large quantity of his stock, Ray visits to experience something he’s never encountered before: fast-food. Impressed by the complete package that McDonald’s has to offer its customers, he meets with the two founding brothers – Maurice and Richard – in a bid to get them to agree to a franchising opportunity for the company, led by businessman Ray. The Founder showcases the trials and tribulations of its determined, ambitious and ruthless protagonist, and highlights the potential price to be paid in making the American Dream a reality.
Very funny, though sometimes disturbing, documentary about what happens to filmmaker Morgan Spurlock when he eats nothing but McDonalds for 30 days.
