Synopsis

When Maya, a young bee, gets over excited and accidentally embarrasses the Empress of the hive of Buzztropolis, she must unite a team of misfit bugs to take part in the forthcoming Honey Games. The challenge is the biggest Maya has ever faced because if she loses, her beloved hive on Poppy Meadow will be depleted of all its honey supplies. Bringing together a group of loyal, loveable, but rather clumsy bugs to help her, the group realise what it really takes to become a champion. Over the course of their journey, they learn to listen to friends and foes alike, understanding that to achieve victory, they may just need to bee themselves.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
