When Aspire Academy – one of the world’s leading sports academies – arrive to pick players for an international tournament in Doha, Mahmoud and Fawzi have the opportunity of a lifetime to display their abilities and represent refugees on the world stage. ‘Captains of Zaatari’ is a timely documentary which presents refugees with empathy and compassion, highlighting the humanity behind the ongoing global crisis.
