This narration-free but highly cinematic documentary, which boasts incredible images from around the world, focuses on the impact of water on both humanity and the environment. Settings captured include the precarious frozen waters of Russia’s Lake Baikal, Miami in the midst of Hurricane Irma, and Venezuela’s mighty Angel Falls, painting a profile of water’s power in its many forms. ‘Aquarela’ is also a testament to climate change, highlighting the way in which humankind impacts with the natural world, as well as vice versa.
Leonardo DiCaprio travels the world interviewing activists and politicians to raise awareness around climate change, and highlight possible solutions.
