A fictional interpretation of the personal life of Princess Diana sees this story take place in 1991 during the royal family’s Christmas celebrations in Sandringham. In this seemingly idyllic setting tension runs high, rumours of affairs and divorce between the royal couple are spreading through the media and Diana, known for her poise, is struggling to keep up appearances. Her inner turmoil manifests in peculiar events and seething interactions with her husband and the Queen, resulting in a decision that will change everything. This fascinating look at one of Britain’s most famous figures is a great entryway into the art of the biopic as well as opening up conversations around themes such as fame and mental health.
eating disorder references, self-harm, infrequent strong language
