Synopsis
David Harewood spoke publicly about his experiences with psychosis for the first time on World Mental Health Day 2017. After a huge response on Twitter – he decided to make a documentary to help him piece together what happened and help raise awareness. During this highly personal film, he meets with friends and family who were around him during his psychotic break. Harewood also spends time with young people currently receiving treatment for psychosis and emergency NHS and police teams in Birmingham. It’s a raw and personal investigation into some of the underlying causes of psychosis and addresses the stigma attached to mental health conditions in society.
