Loretta Sage may be a popular and revered romance novelist but she spends her days reclusively, in contrast to her stories that involve adventure, allure and intrigue. During a press tour for her most recent novel she reluctantly partners with her cover model, the handsome but goofy Alan Caprison, who harbours a secret affection for Loretta despite her disdain for him. When Loretta is suddenly kidnapped by an eccentric and devious billionaire intent on discovering a hidden city on an Atlantic Island, Alan sets out to rescue her but finds himself way over his head after he and Loretta are stranded in the dangerous jungle. With its charming lead performances and unpredictable sense of humour, The Lost City is a crowd pleasing adventure-comedy that shows us why we should never judge a book by its cover.
