There is more to the dark-haired young man known as Clark Kent than meets the eye. On the one hand, he is a reporter for the Daily Planet newspaper living in the bustling city of Metropolis, having grown up on a farm in Smallville, Kansas. But his secret identity is that of Superman, hailing from the planet of Krypton. He carries out heroic actions under this guise on Earth, saving human lives – but this world doesn’t always make it easy to be a hero, and new elements in his life are destabilizing his sense of self, not least his feelings towards his colleague Louis Lane. Superman must face war, political crises, other superheroes and the malevolent billionaire scientist Lex Luthor, using all his strength, speed and staunch belief in justice and decency. Featuring thrilling action, heartwarming emotion, and particularly enjoyable contributions from trusty Superdog Krypto, this film launches a new chapter in the DC Universe.
