Based on true events and directed by one of the subjects in the film, this intense and realistic war drama follows a troop of US Navy Seals as they attempt to carry out a relatively routine scouting assignment during the 2006 invasion of Iraq. What begins as a secretive stealth mission is soon derailed as the soldiers are pinned back in the house of a local family by insurgents (people fighting against an invading force) and attempt to find a way back to safety. With many of them shellshocked and leadership waning, the fight for survival lies on a knife-edge. Playing out in real-time, this film utilises several filmic, sound and special effects techniques to create an authentic warzone experience that aims to remind us of the sheer terror and violence of a wartime battleground.
