Five years ago, the extraterrestrial dragon-like creature King Ghidora awakened giant monsters known as Titans on planet Earth, eventually falling to the might of the nuclear-lizard Godzilla, who returned to the safety of his home in the vast ocean. Now a group of government scientists known as Monarch are trying to explore and contain this phenomenon, also keeping an eye on Kong, a giant ape who resides on Skull Island. When Godzilla suddenly attacks a research facility, the scientists discover a link between Godzilla and Kong, leading them to assemble a team that will follow the giant ape to a place called Hollow Earth in an attempt to prevent the end of humanity. In the present, a geologist, an anthropological linguist, a conspiracy podcaster and a teenage girl are the only thing standing in the way of Godzilla and Kong’s path of destruction. A high-concept blockbuster that brings together two of cinema’s greatest monsters for a special effects extravaganza.
