It’s the final weekend of the summer holidays, and four best friends, Daisy, Dina, Mari, and Lola are about to start middle school. They are all too aware that they are on the cusp of big life changes, and that their childhood is drawing to a close. While rambling through the woodland near town, they stumble upon an unexpected sight: the body of a dead man. The girls decide to investigate the mystery by themselves, following clues that might reveal his identity. In the following days, strange events begin to unfold as both the reality of the situation and their own imagination sharpen, and each girl confronts her own fears about growing up. This coming-of-age adventure is a nod to the classic film Stand By Me and the power of storytelling, cantering around the female experience of friendship, childhood curiosity and the bittersweet transition from innocence to adolescence.
