This is the non-linear story of deadpan academic Agnes, who lives and works in a rural New England college town. Beginning with a visit from her old roommate and best friend Lydie, we bounce between time periods, with Agnes’ story being reflected in her friends and lovers as the history of her sexual assault at the hands of a school professor slowly and painfully reveals itself. Faced with the seemingly insurmountable task of healing her emotional scars, Agnes nevertheless looks to the beautiful things in life that may bring her back to the less painful live she once lived. A surprisingly humorous story of self-discovery and overcoming trauma, this mature film heralds the fresh new voice of director and lead actor Eva Victor.
