On Christmas Eve, twins Alfie and Elise find themselves drifting apart, each trying to escape the harsh reality of their father being missing at war. When they receive a mysterious gift known as a “Wish Watch”, they find themselves faced with the enigmatic Wish Collector and are whisked away to the magical Land of Sometimes. Here, all four seasons pass in a single day and they are granted six wishes each, to use in any manner they please. Soon, however, Alfie and Elsie learn to be careful what they wish for and their fantastical journey becomes a race to navigate a chaotic land, outsmart its bizarre creatures, and find their way back to each other before their wishes run out. Exploring the allure of escapism and the importance of facing problems head-on, this sibling-focused fast-paced digital animation wears its heart on its sleeve.
