Synopsis
Yellow, adorable and utterly incomprehensible, Minions live to serve evil villains. But in this story, a tribe of Minions is having trouble finding a master who’ll stick around. When they enthusiastically join a train robber, only to discover they are on the set of a 1920s Hollywood film, they accidentally become major movie stars themselves. But as the silent era gives way to talkies, filmmakers decide their nonsense-speak doesn’t work for the screen. They therefore decide to produce their own monster movie. What could possibly go wrong? Using an ancient spellbook that belonged to one of their previous villainous masters, they inadvertently conjure up actual, rampaging creatures, wreaking havoc across Los Angeles. This slapstick animation delivers raucously silly fun, as well as serving as an accessible homage to the golden age of cinema.
