Synopsis
Veteran piano tuner Harry Horowitz is losing his hearing but has been training his talented apprentice Niki to take over his business. Niki’s hearing is incredibly sensitive (he has a condition called hyperacusis, which obliges him to wear earplugs at all times) and together, they’re the best piano tuners in the city. One night, during a tune-up, Niki’s skills are called on in unusual circumstances and he is offered a lucrative, but highly illegal, chance to develop a side trade and earn some money. At the same time, Niki meets and begins to fall for music composition student Ruthie – but one botched job puts everything he loves in grave danger. An intoxicating blend of genre, this pulsating thriller also charms with its rom-com elements.
