Synopsis

A high school outsider infiltrates a violent world of drugs, intrigue and murder in this ambitious crime drama. What makes this tale so interesting is that it attempts to re-invent the traditional teen movie by shooting it in the style of a 'film noir' detective flick - complete with hard-boiled dialogue. Brendan is the intellectual loner forced to get tough by his ex-girlfriend Emily's sudden disappearance. Figuring she's in deep trouble, he sets about tracking her down - only to uncover an eccentric clique of student criminals, presided over by the sinister 'Pin'.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
