Synopsis

To some, sport is just a way of keeping fit and passing time - but to Ken Carter, it's a way to build a better a life. The successful owner of a local sporting goods shop, Carter offers to take over as the coach of the struggling basketball team at his old high school. But when the team start to do well, they find success on the court is only half the story. Samuel L. Jackson is superb as Coach Carter in this hugely inspiring movie.

What our educators say

"The art of discussion has improved and the breadth of language used has been enhanced by the variety of films watched, all of which we order free from the Into Film website."
