Synopsis

With the world on the brink of an ice age, three creatures are brought together on a perilous migration with the world covered in snow and frost. Manny the mammoth and Sid the sloth have been separated from their families and are looking to reach them in the South when they happen upon a baby whose mother has recently died. Agreeing to safely return the baby to its father, they soon run into Diego, a sabre-toothed tiger who has been tasked with retrieving the baby for his evil pack. Pretending to befriend them, Diego joins their journey, leading them to an uncertain future. This well-loved animation is full of slapstick comedy whilst also teaching lessons about friendship and ethics.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
