Synopsis

Spoiled, headstrong society girl Ellie marries louche socialite King Wesley. Her father objects - so violently that he ends up kidnapping her and imprisoning her on his yacht. Ellie is indignant and swims to freedom, hoping to get to New York. Back on shore, she meets out-of-work journalist Peter Warne, who offers to help in exchange for a lucrative exclusive interview. A madcap road trip follows, during which the unlikely pair fall in love.

What our educators say

"The art of discussion has improved and the breadth of language used has been enhanced by the variety of films watched, all of which we order free from the Into Film website."
