Sent back in time to find the Army of the Twelve Monkeys, a group of crazed revolutionaries who have all but destroyed the world, ex-convict James Cole appears six years too early in 1990 - at which point, thinking he's mad, authorities place him in a mental hospital. When he escapes, taking his psychiatrist Dr. Kathryn Railly hostage, Cole has to find the Twelve Monkeys who are planning to unleash a deadly virus that could wipe out the human race in this fast-paced, sci-fi-adventure.
