A toy company uses the latest top-secret military technology in a series of action figures - enabling them to talk and act as if they were 'real' soldiers. But the microchips they've employed are far more powerful than they could have imagined, because when the two opposing sides of the new toy line bust out of their packaging, they start to engage in genuine combat - and a young boy and his family are soon in the crossfire. The result is a brilliantly-realised and quick-witted action-comedy.
PLEASE BE AWARE: After ordering Small Soldiers the disc you receive may be marked as being a 12 certificate - however, this relates to the extra features on the DVD and not the film itself, which is certified with the BBFC as a PG.
Into Film has consulted the BBFC, and their guidance is that as long as a club leader screens only the film (and not additional features or audio commentaries etc), Small Soldiers can be treated as a PG certificate in a school setting.
This film has several uses of mild bad language and contains horror.
