Synopsis

For many people, finding out that they're adopted is a dramatic turning point in their life - and Navin Johnson is no different. It's just that not many people have quite the level of "innocence" as Navin - a good-hearted but deeply naive young man who sets off into the world to find out who he really is and causes havoc with every step. Somehow, for all his bumbling, an invention he comes up with means everything works out just fine for Navin - for a while at least! This classic comedy stars the brilliant Steve Martin, who back in the 1970s was possibly the most original comic talent in the world - a gift shown off to its fullest in The Jerk.
