Synopsis

The final chapter of director Peter Jackson's massively popular fantasy trilogy pulls out all the stops - more battles, more breathtaking action, and more stunning New Zealand scenery. Jackson and his stellar cast wrap everything up in style, as the dark lord Sauron marshals his army of hideous orcs and prepares to lay waste to Middle Earth. Frodo makes a break for Mount Doom - but what hope does one little hobbit have against the massed forces of evil?

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
