A prime example of the classic doomy sci-fi films that the industry produced in the 1970s. It's kitsch, but get beyond the groovy period costumes and this exciting tale of a man's rebellion against a 23rd-century world ruled by a fascistic computer where no-one is allowed to live over 30 has a lot to say about things such as overpopulation and totalitarianism.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
