Synopsis

This whiskered take on Sherlock Holmes, based on the Basil of Baker Street books by Eve Titus and Paul Galdone, unfolds in Victorian London, where the rodent sleuth is appointed to investigate a toymaker's disappearance. Behind the kidnapping is Basil's arch-nemesis Professor Ratigan, a dastardly rat who intends to use his captive to plot against the Mouse Queen.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
