I loved this film!!! In it there is a very kind and helpful girl called Umi who picks up the school newspaper and finds a poem about her in it. The boy who wrote the poem jumps off the roof and falls into a pool of water. Umi, being the kind girl she is, helps him up. He flashes a dazzling smile while some boys take photographs of them and wolf-whistle. Umi is unimpressed and let’s go of Shun’s hand, letting him fall back into the pool. Her little sister admires Shun and persuades Umi to come with her to the boy’s clubhouse in order to get Shun’s autograph. No girl has ever been inside the club house, so this is quite an adventure for them. Umi’s sister gets the boy’s autograph and gets walked home by his friend, while Umi stays to cut out template for the paper. Umi and Shun soon become good friends, and begin to fall in love with each other. But then Shun discovers something about his father, and starts to ignore Umi, whose heart is broken by his actions. Shun decides that he can’t be in love with Umi, but Umi’s mother clears everything up, Shun realises that he always loved Umi and he’ll always be in love with Umi. I thought that this movie was beautiful, I really enjoyed it.
