Well, what to say about this film? It was an interesting watch, it provided a form of entertainment and it was fine. It was an interesting take on how an alien race would take over the planet with some great scenes and some interesting dialogue. There were some famous faces and supposedly it's a cult classic, and a treasured film over in America, in being selected for preservation for being 'culturally, historically or aesthetically significant' film in 1994, could I determine why? Not really. It is an alright film that didn't bore me, but I am totally sure something else would have been more invigorating. I liked it and it helped me uphold my key belief, anything green and vegetable-like is evil, and that point was certainly proved in this film. For being released in the 1950s, the green plants and everything were very effective and it was great, however, no fault of the film, I would just prefer something else.

This visually spectacular German sci-fi classic (made, incredibly, in 1927) sees the rich live in skyscrapers and the poor toil underground.

Cold war nuclear fears are put into perspective by the dramatic arrival of peaceful alien Klaatu and his silver robot Gort. Essential science fiction.
