This year's Palme d'Or winner at the Cannes Film Festival, acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Koreeda's Shoplifters is a gentle drama about an unconventional family unit who are embroiled in low-key criminal activity to make ends meet. But when they take in a homeless young girl off the streets, her arrival disrupts the natural order of things, and brings about unexpected changes for each of them.

The fourth film in the festive family franchise, Nativity Rocks!, sees the pupils of St. Bernadette school and their new teacher Jerry Popper - alongside the headmistress and a ruthless director - come together to prepare for their opportunity in a musical competition, merging the nativity story with classic rock anthems!

Sherlock Gnomes

Sherlock Gnomes - a spin-off sequel to Gnomeo and Juliet - follows the gang of garden ornaments from the previous film as they move to London. However, once they arrive, many of their friends suddenly disappear, and so the duo decide to call upon the help of renowned detective Sherlock Gnomes to help solve the case in this playful introduction to English Literature.

This week's final film is another which puts a spin on a traditional festive favourite, in this case The Star is an animated version of the nativity story. When a bunch of animals hear of the incredible news of the impending birth of the Messiah, a small but brave donkey named Bo heads in the direction of Mary and Joseph to prepare for the miraculous event.
