We at Into Film are delighted to be working with Scouts to bring you a collaborative Storyboard to the Big Screen competition.

We want to showcase the positive impact young filmmakers can have through film by inspiring future generations to aspire, be empowered and be the changemakers of tomorrow. We want to see stories of what or who inspires you on your adventures or challenges you've overcome through teamwork.

We'll be looking for creativity, a clearly communicated idea, a storyboard that captures the theme, and considering how well your storyboard will translate onto the screen. (Note: We're looking for live-action films only, so no animations please.)

Submit your storyboards and your Scout Troop or Explorer Unit could win the chance to have your idea turned into a short film, which will premiere at a private screening for you at a local cinema in Autumn 2026.

How to Enter

Download the entry form below and use the Storyboard Template and About our Film sheets to plan how your storyboard adventure will unfold. Be sure to fill in the Entrants' Details section as well.

Sign up to Into Film

Register for a free Into Film Account now and you'll gain access to a large collection of bite-size, 15-minute filmmaking activities that will help you begin or further your filmmaking journey, with a longer activity at the end that will see your Scout group create their own short film.

Our bite-sized resources are perfect for all Scout Leaders to successfully deliver filmmaking activities with their Scout groups - no matter what filmmaking experience you or they have.

Scout members will learn new skills, get creative, and even have the chance to earn a special Into Film blanket badge to add to their collection. Storytelling through film is a great way for young people to express themselves, build confidence, and work as a team, and learning to write short stories, turn them into scripts, storyboard, and create short films helps young people to develop important skills for life, and perhaps their future career.
