Story Builder: Games is a Key Stage 3 resource from our ever-popular suite of ready-to-use pupil-facing Story Builder activity packs.

Developed in consultation with BAFTA and the Family Gaming Database, the resource supports young people to develop their own game ideas and narratives, which they can then enter into the upcoming BAFTA Young Game Designers competition.

"Story Builder: Games is an invaluable resource that enhances young peoples' idea development and literacy skills in a fun and creative way", said Lisa Prime, Head of Children & Young People's Programme at BAFTA. "We look forward to seeing their game ideas come together and maybe even spot some future BAFTA Young Game Designers - one of our flagship programmes to inspire the next generation."

Whatever the subject, you can use Story Builder: Games to apply learners' knowledge of game narratives and structure to curricular topics and develop cross-curricular literacy skills through a tried and tested framework for students and create stories for a curricular-focused game. Learners will create characters, relevant settings, meaningful stories and more, all based on their research and understanding of their focus area.

Eva has got so much out of Story Builder: Games... She just loves it! I really appreciate her taking part and the opportunity it's given her.
