In a coastal kingdom, a boy called Vincent and his father Tomas make beautiful glasswork using the fine local sand. The region becomes disputed territory between two nations, and the brewing conflict brings an army colonel and his family to town. The colonel's daughter Alliz is enchanted by the glassworks and she and Vincent soon grow close, much to his father's disapproval, as he is opposed to the military. As the years go by, Alliz becomes a talented violinist and Vincent refines his glass craftmanship, but the escalation of war causes a rift between the pair. The passionate pursuit of patriotism, pride, democracy and artistic expression guide this story to a dramatic crescendo, in which love echoes through the ages. With anime-inspired character designs and a richly painted visual world loosely based on the city of Karachi, this is the first hand-drawn animated feature film produced in Pakistan.
