Learning to express yourself - however you wish to do so - and developing values to carry with you in the modern world is an integral part of growing up. The world of film is full of such stories, fact and fiction, that capture individual and collective experiences of people finding their voices; standing up for what they believe in, and developing the power to say, "this is who I am".

Whether it's through sport, music or even politics, stereotypes are meant to be broken. The films in this strand reflect that, but also include more intimate, personal stories of young people expressing their creativity and true identities.
