Synopsis

19th-century Germany: Dr Lindenbrock assembles a small expedition to test the theory he has found in an obscure book claiming that beneath the surface of the Earth there is a land with plants and animals. Descending down through a volcano, they reach a place where huge prehistoric animals roam freely a great scientific discovery, but also something that has them running for their lives. Exciting adaptation of Jules Verne's brilliant sci-fi novel.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
