Synopsis

Vienna is a tough businesswoman making a living in the Wild West, but her bitter rival Emma Small is to trying to frame her as the mastermind behind a stagecoach robbery. The only person who seems always to be on Vienna's side is her ex-boyfriend, Johnny Guitar. This is not a standard Western - women have the key roles and it was filmed in deliberately unrealistic colours designed to make everything weirdly intense.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
