Based on a book by T. Llew Jones, this Welsh adventure drama is set in an 18th-Century world of smugglers around Cwmtydu on the Cardiganshire coast. After barrels of cargo are plundered from a shipwreck, the authorities step up their attempts to apprehend Sion Cwilt, the masked leader of a smuggling gang. Meanwhile, Harri Glascoe, who is in love with lower-ranked tavern girl Lucille but is expected to marry a rich landowner's daughter, endeavours to save his father's indebted estate from takeover, and departs on a sailing journey to Europe's capitals to bring back valuable goods. Revelations come to light, as the inhabitants struggle for love and livelihood against corrupt forces. Wedi'i seilio ar nofel T. Llew Jones, mae'r ddrama anturus hon wedi'i gosod yn y 18fed ganrif ac ym myd smyglwyr Cwmtydu, pentref ar arfordir Ceredigion. Wedi i gasgenni gael eu taflu oddi ar hen long, mae'r awdurdodau yn gwneud eu gorau i ddal ac i feio Sion Cwilt - arweinydd ac arwr y smyglwyr. Cymeriad blaenllaw arall yn y ffilm yw Harri Glascoed, sydd mewn cariad ''r ferch dafarn leol, Lucille, er bod teulu Harri a'i fryd arno i briodi merch tirberchennog cefnog o'r ardal. Yn y ddrama, mae Harri'n ceisio gwarchod tir ei dad rhag cael ei werthu ac felly mae'n gadael i ymweld ' rhai o brif ddinasoedd Ewrop, lle mae'n gobeithio dod o hyd i bethau costus a chrand i'w gwerthu nol yng Nghymru.
