It's hardly surprising that One Direction have their own movie; after all, the band that famously came third in 2010's X-Factor competition has since achieved phenomenal success, with songs like 'What Makes You Beautiful' and 'Live While We're Young' topping charts around the world. What is surprising is that it's directed by Morgan Spurlock, whose provocative documentaries (such as Super Size Me and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold), earned him a reputation as an outspoken critic of popular culture. Mixing behind-the-scenes footage with live performances and interviews, the film examines how becoming millionaire heartthrobs has altered the lives of its five young stars.
