Twelve-year-old Mike Aldwich is proud to part of a family of astronauts, but neither his father nor grandfather have ever fulfilled their dream of going to the moon. When greedy billionaire Richard Carson starts preparing his own lunar mission in order to remove the US flag from the moon’s surface and claim that he is in fact the first person to land there, a team of retired astronauts is called in to launch an emergency counter-mission to stop him. It looks like Mike's father and Grandfather might finally get their chance to be part of a lunar mission - if they can put their differences behind them.
Explorers is an inventive, sophisticated fantasy adventure in which two kids build their own space craft in a suburban garage.
