Synopsis

Everyone’s favourite Gaul stars in this animated adventure from France. After an accident whilst picking herbs in the forest, the Druid Panoramix decides that it is time he found a successor to transmit the secret of his magic potion. Enlisting the service of Asterix and Obelix, the two “bravest” warriors in the village, he sets out on a quest to find a young trustworthy druid who can become his protégé. However, the devious Demonix is also out to steal the recipe for his own nefarious means. Colourful, lively and exciting, this film carries on the 60 year legacy of one of France’s most enduring heroes.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
