Synopsis

A little boy named Lou is distraught to discover his mother has sold his precious rainbow-coloured roller skates at the yard sale. Even though she claims he never wore them anymore as they had become too small for him, Lou is determined to get them back. During his journey, he meets a bunch of new people who introduce him to cool items including jackets, walkie-talkies, and music, but all Lou wants are his roller skates back… or so he thinks. This French animation is full of lively, vibrant design influenced by comics and video games, with a message around changing tastes as we grow up.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
