Synopsis

On an iceberg in the middle of the vast ocean lives a miserable witch who spends her days chasing fishing boats away with her magical powers so she can be alone. When a persistently friendly singing merman washes up on her iceberg, she chases him away but soon finds herself humming his songs and missing his company. Soon, a group of fishermen return to seek revenge on the witch and the merman, after uncovering a long-kept secret, sets out to keep her safe. This enthralling stop-motion short tackles themes of prejudice and unlikely friendship in the face of adversity.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
