Stephen Strange has an odd dream in which he and a girl are attempting to reach a sacred book being protected by a fearsome monster. In the real world, as he attends the wedding of his ex-fiancé Christine Palmer, an attack occurs on the city. After defeating the creature inflicting it, Strange realises that the target was the girl in his dream, named America Chavez. She explains that she has a gift: she is able to travel across dimensions, through the multiverse, and is being hunted for her powers. Doctor Strange seeks help from Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, to protect America against her enemy, which leads Stephen to embark on his own journey across the multiverse.
The smash-hit mutant saga continues, as Wolverine is sent back to the 1970s and must unite Magneto and Xavier to prevent a future apocalypse.
