Adapted from the lesser-known Stephen King novella of the same name, this genre-blending film presents three chapters in the life of Charles Krantz, affectionately known as Chuck, and his wider impact on the universe around him. Unconventionally beginning with Act Three, Thanks Chuck, which focuses on an estranged couple who are drawn closer together after the world loses access to the internet, the film then switches to Act Two, Buskers Forever, where Chuck re-discovers his dancing shoes in the most magnificent of ways. Lastly Act One, I Contain Multitudes, focuses on Chuck’s tragic childhood and how his love for dance and relationship with his grandparents shaped his life. Impossible to predict and always intriguing, this is a sentimental story that maps out the connections we make throughout our lives and the reverberations caused by our actions.
